PLAYER PROFILES MUSICIANS 
Columbia Symphony Orchestra

Jill Torberson, horn, has been a member of the CSO for some 14 years. While in Portland, Jill has played in several groups, including the Rose City Chamber Orchestra, Linfield Chamber Orchestra, Portland Festival Symphony, and many others. She is an active free-lance musician, and enjoys the musician’s life. Jill is also a visual artist, currently working in steel. Many say that her sculptures have a very musical feel to them, which is no wonder, as music plays a major part in her life. Besides her musical contributions to CSO, Jill is everwilling to pitch in and help with any task that is needed on behalf of the orchestra.

Jill plays the horn in several groups in Portland, including the Columbia Symphony Orchestra, the Portland Festival Symphony, and the Rose City Chamber Orchestra. She is a member of the American Federation of Musicians Local 99, and enjoys working many various gigs in town.
